You haven't seen anything yet

This is an overdue article, one which I could no longer ignore. Ever since I was a kid I loved watching the Marvel cartoons such as Spider-Man, The Hulk, Spider-Woman, The Fantastic Four and my absolute nr 1 was of course X-Men. To be honest I never liked the other characters very much, maybe because I knew too little about them, I had one comic on The Avengers and one of  Infinity Gauntlet  in which Galactus appeared, but since they were just the one comic I missed the storyline.  X-men on the other hand I had a good collection of, but that is been lost over the years. The Marvel comic app most. But we’re drifting off.

Over the years some adaptions of Marvel characters have been brought on to the big screen, Sam Rami’s Spider-Man, The Hulk with Eric Bana (which I  loved) and one of the most badass characters in the Marvel Univers, The Punisher. The 2004 film was not that bad, the later version was. Then came Iron Man and that is when things started to change, which is now referred to as Phase 1. All the characters that from The Avengers got their own films, well most that is to say. This bigger  plan was was made obvious at the end of Iron Man 1 when Nick Fury told Tony Stark that he is to be part of a bigger picture. One that  started with Captain America. The question I ask you is what will happen with Hulk, will he get another stand alone, or will he only be back in The Avengers 2? A great character but the films have not been as steady as the Iron Man or Thor films.  Too much change in the lead role, I think which is too bad because Bana did a good job in The Hulk.

So here are we at the beginning of phase two. What can we expect? Phase two will also start with the new Iron Man 3 which is coming our way this April. A new Thor film come November. It will also be the introduction of new characters like Thanos the Titan, who has been confirmed to be appearing in both The Avengers 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy, tying more stories together than  the Tesseract cube and thus becoming the main antagonist for Phase Two. So it will do what the comic books attempt on a weekly basis. Weaving all different character into one story arc.

Phase two will end with Avengers 2 and the introduction of Ant-Man. “‘Ant-Man’ is definitely part of Phase Three. Like ‘Iron Man 3,’ it’s certainly set in the Marvel Universe, but it’s also through the lens of Edgar Wright.” said Kevin Feige. This opens the door for more characters coming into play like Wasp, The Scarlet Witch, Sentry and Dr Strange etc.  But sp far very is known about Phase 3 so more on that when it comes in.
