Ben Savage on Boy Meets Wolds Spinoff Girl Meets World

Remember Boy Meets World show from back in the 90's? Well it has a spinoff series. At first I was doubtfull about it but my view has changed a bit. Reason why, the original was aired on ABC and the spinoff will be aired of Dinsey and there's nothing wrong with Disney but they tend to be too happy, too, well, too Dinsey. As Rocky says: "The World ain't all sunshine and rainbows". And with Disney it's just that.

But in a recent interview during Good Morning America Ben Savage (Cory Matthews from the original Boy meets World) changed my mind a bit. I like the approach to the show, Cory now being the dad and the teacher. The fact that he is aware that original fans are protective of the show is good and stating: Girl Meets World’ Lives Up To The Original '90s Classic.

I think that's a good thing still it has that Disney flavour over it but maybe that's just the way kids want it now a days. Check out the full interview an promo and the theme song below.

And the theme song, which is quite catchy ( like a Coca Cola ad).  Which differs alot for the original, but in this is a good thing. Actually the original was horrible looking back on that. But the main audience has changed, I believe, from girls and boys to just girls. But that could just be me.

Girl meets World will air on the Disney Channel starting June 27th and stars Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Corey Fogelmanis, Peyton Meyer, Auggie Matthews.

Several “Boy Meets World” cast-members are set to return, including Rider Strong, William Daniels, Danny McNulty, Lee Norris, William Russ, and Betsy Randle.
