Marvel Heroes return home
Some heroes have returned to Marvel. Dare Devil, Blade, Ghost Rider and The Punisher are back home. The licenses have expired for other studios to make movies of these characters. But Marvel is not in any hurry to reboot their franchise. Kevin Feige stated in Entertainment Weekly:
"Whenever a character comes back to us, it's usually because the other studios don't want to make the movies anymore- and that ususally means yhe (previous) movie haven't been particularly well recieved".
Even though they all have potential and, well, actually the Blade Trilogy was well recieved, we won't see any these characters back to the big screen in the near future as Feige says: "We got it back- make it!'
Although recently there was talk of a Dare Devil reboot with director David Slade at the helm and rumors circulation of a plot, it is unclear what happens to it. But now that it isback with Marvel it looks like the reboot will be put on a shelf and "maybe" be picked up at a later stage.
Also the question is how they would fit in the current route Marvel is following, now that they started Phase 2 with the new Iron Man and Thor coming up this November and working towards Phase 3 with The Avengers 2 and Ant-Man.
Feige is glad that these titles are back in Marvel's hands "which is where we want them to be".
