Harold Ramis passes away at 69
Harold Ramis has passed away at the age of 69. He died from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels. His wife Erica Mann Ramis said he was surrounded by family when he died.
Harold Ramis is best known for his his roles as dr. Egon Spengler in Ghostbusters and Russell Ziskey in Stripes, both of which he was the co-writer. As a writer/director, his films included Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, and Analyze This.
