Michael Bay producing the remake of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds

Remember that  film from Alfred Hitchcock called "The Birds"? A classic horror film about, well, birds that suddenly and for unexplained reasons, attack the citizens of Bodega Bay over the course of a few days.

The film, today, is considered a great film and even though the effect are "simple" to us there are still people who cannot watch it because they think its very scary. Well I think it just got more scarier. Why? Michael Bay is going to produce thet remake, so the Guardian reports.

I am not fond of remake such as this, for it means that Hollywood is now completely lost its originalty and you could ask yourself "when will they remake Casablanca?".

But on the other hand I am a bit glad the Bay is doing this because if I look back at his remakes of Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre he did a good job at it. The Purge, also by him, is great.

The film will be directed by Dutchman Diederik Van Rooijen, who might be unknown to the US public but he did some great series in The Netherlands. His most rescent hit series was Penoza.

The Guardian also reports that Naomi Watts is rumoured to be taking on Hedren's role.

More in this as I get it.
