Production Fast and Furious shut down.
Universal Studios issued a statement concerning the production of Fast and Furious 7. After the death of Paul Walker production had already been on hold a sign of respect and to allow the cast and crew who grew close to him over the years to grieve.
Now it seems that production has been shut down permantly until the studios decide how to go about this project in the coming months. Read the official statement below:
"Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul's immediate family and our extended Fast & Furious family of cast, crew and filmmakers. At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on Fast & Furious 7 for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise. We are committed to keeping Fast & Furious fans informed, and we will provide further information to them when we have it. Until then, we know they join us in mourning the passing of our dear friend Paul Walker".
In an earlier statement Universal Pictures announced that a percentage of proceeds from the upcoming DVD / Blue Ray release of Fast & Furious 6 will be donated to Paul Walker’s non-profit Reach Out WorldWide,
In the meantime my thought go out to family/ friends/ cas and crew in these tragic times.
