Resident Evil six gets a working title

The last time I reported on Resident Evil 6 was a long time ago. Fact is, it's  has been very quiet around the new Resident Evil film. Afterlife, as far as I have understood, should have been the last one. But fans were not happy with that film even though it it did ok during in the box office. To be honest I had to re-watch it, because the first time round I swichted it of.

Well some new has come online. Paul W.S. Anderson has revealed the working title (for now) for the film and it its called: "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter".  Catchy title and so we can assume that this, in fact, will be the last in the series.

"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is the working title.  It may end up being the final title, but that’s what’s written on the front page of my script… I’m right in the middle of [the first draft].” Said Anderson to Collider.

The film was originally set for a 2014 release, but since Anderson is still writing it a 2015 or maybe 2016 release is more realistic. To Collider he said: "I don’t know, depends how fast I write, I guess. There’s no set date yet but hopefully we’ll have an announcement for that soon."

So we have to wait some more , but expect a release date in the near future and so stay tuned for more news on Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
